Chain Stretching Quickly (Delivery Use)
Very CommonSG Grab/food delivery MSX125s suffer accelerated chain wear from constant heavy loading and SG humidity. Some delivery riders need chain replacement every 10,000km.

4-Speed Gearbox Feeling Notchy
CommonThe MSX125's 4-speed gearbox is simple but feels notchy, especially when cold. False neutrals between 2nd and 3rd are occasional.
💡 Let engine warm for 1 minute before riding. Correct clutch free-play to 10–20mm at lever. Use Honda 10W-30 and change every 2,500km. The notchiness is part of the character.

Fuel Tank Rust (Older Models)
Common on 2014–2018MSX125 original fuel tanks had thin lining that corrodes with SG fuel. Rust flakes reach the carburettor and cause blockage.
💡 Treatment: drain tank, use Caswell Tank Sealer ($80–$120) to coat interior. Alternatively, upgrade to 5-gallon Monkey custom tank. 2019+ models improved tank coating.

Overheating in Delivery Use
Delivery-SpecificMSX125 used heavily for food delivery in SG can overheat — 124cc engine running continuously in heat without adequate rest periods. Oil temperature rises above safe levels.
💡 Take 5-minute breaks every 2 hours minimum. Change oil every 2,000km (not 3,000km) for delivery use. Keep coolant (if applicable) topped. The MSX is designed for fun, not 8-hour delivery shifts.
